Murata Machinery, Ltd. has established Murata Machinery Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur for the local subsidiary of sales, installation, technical services of Logistics System, Material Handling System for Semiconductor Fab, and the company began operation in September.

Malaysia plays an important role in logistics for the Southeast Asia, with many Japanese and global companies having established operations in the country. The demand for automation has increased in Malaysia where policies has pushed for increased wages in recent years, and for our  business this has resulted in increasing sales of material handling systems for the manufacturing and distribution industries.

Up until now, Murata Machinery had established local subsidiaries in Indonesia (1974), Thailand (1989), Singapore (1991), and Vietnam (2016) as sales and service locations, and have also expanded into the material handling industries in each country. With the establishment of this base in Malaysia, we aim to build a system which makes it possible that the subsidiaries in the 5 major ASEAN countries mutually support in order to improve the quality of customer support.
