Jiangyin Xinming Textile Co.,Ltd.
Special Interview with Mr. Zhang Jianxin,
SHARING YOUR LIFE
We conducted an interview with Mr. Zhang Jianxin, Factory director of Jiangyin Xinming Textile Co.,Ltd. Jiangyin Xinming Textile Co.,Ltd. has already introduced a new type of automatic winder, PROCESS CONER Ⅱ QPRO. We asked him about the Chinese market as well as his opinion and expectations about the new winder.
Although it is often said that the price of raw cotton has risen in China, how do you see your business worldwide?
Mr. Zhang JianxinAlthough it is often said that the price of raw cotton has risen in China, how do you see your business worldwide?
The recent rise in the price of raw cotton in China has also had a strong impact on the price of raw materials for synthetic yarns, and the market has continued to struggle under difficult conditions over the last year. However, our plant has worked at full capacity over the last year with production totaling 7,200 tons per year. Our rate of profit is not exactly normal but our situation is not dire. In addition, we will strengthen our relationship with yarn companies in Japan. A favorable relationship with Japanese manufacturer, Muratec will contribute to that.
How do you foresee the market moving in China in the future?
Mr. Zhang JianxinHow do you foresee the market moving in China in the future?
In 2012, severe conditions continued in the Chinese market, and we cannot entertain an optimistic view of 2013. This is why it is widely thought that import quotas for cotton will be cancelled in 2013, and major companies will be forced to use expensive domestic cotton and will face difficulties with a rise in production costs. In addition, production increases in developing countries, such as India are rather eye-popping, and this will only further strangle the Chinese market. In addition, with recent developments of clothing being made of filaments improving in texture, I feel this is reason to watch out for companies in the business of synthetic short fibers. In order for Chinese factories to survive under such circumstances, it is important to manufacture high quality yarns with the latest equipment and adept managerial skills for differentiation and to maintain competitiveness.
Please tell us your honest opinion about the performance of QPRO compared with the previous type No.21C.
Mr. Zhang JianxinAccording to our daily reports, the yield has increased by 5 to 6% when operated at equal speed. In addition, air consumption amounts have also decreased. This has made it particularly convenient for maintenance staff. Most adjustments including troublesome adjustments of the suction mouth have been made easier. At present, we have introduced one QPRO, but if the number increases, this will lead to manpower savings of maintenance staff. Flying cotton flocculation around the waxing device has decreased, this has reduced the amount of effort needed for cleaning. The very easy to see LED light allows people in the area to know there is an alarm, improving efficiency. Also, I feel the package has been improved in appearance over No.21C, and the weight has evened out with fewer discrepancies. I think that these advantages have been brought about by an increase in stability of yarn tension by the PC module.
Please tell us about your future business plans.
Mr. Zhang JianxinIn this rapidly developing area including southern Jiangsu (Jiangyin region), labor costs are high and land purchasing is difficult, therefore, we will have to move to areas that still offer the capacity to conduct business such as northern Jiangsu (Sheyang region) where our Sheyang Factory, Sheyangxian Haishun Textile Co., Ltd. is located. In developed areas such as southern Jiangsu, recently, not only have labor costs soared, but migrant workers have dwindled, and the labor shortage has worsened. In Sheyang Factory, spindles will increase by 20,000 during 2013, and reach 100,000 by 2016. With this expansion plan, we will expect QPRO to further our focus on yarn quality and accelerate differentiation. We have recognized the overwhelming superiority of QPRO in operation over the past four months, so we would like to use QPRO to make high quality yarn.
