Device Types ********************************************************************** Muratec is a silver-level member of the SAP Printer Vendor Program. Muratec device type is a configuration file that allows appropriate functionalities on MFPs (multi-function peripherals) for the SAP printing environment. The device types were developed by Muratec and are compliant with all requirements for device types as defined in the SAP Printer Vendor program. These device types must be set for direct printing from the SAP applications when a new Muratec MFP is installed in the SAP environment. ********************************************************************** 2. Installing Device Types ********************************************************************** Muratec device types can be imported into your SAP system. "Importing a Device Type with the SPAD Transaction" is as follows. 1. Download the SAP device type and save the .pri file to a directory on your computer. 2. Logon to SAP and select the SPAD transaction. 3. Select Utilities at the top of the screen, select For device types, and then select Import. 4. When the report appears, select the Device Type radio button. 5. Type in the name of the device type you want to import in the field to the right of object name. 6. Select the execute button in the upper left corner of the screen (check mark inside the clock). 7. Select the Local Object button. 8. Select the path for the device type, highlight the device type you want, and select Open. 9. When the import process is complete, a message will appear on screen stating gObject successfully imported.h ********************************************************************** 5. Network Environment ********************************************************************** [Network Interface] The "Network Interface Card" is required to use the printer in a network environment. Confirm that the "Network Interface Card" is attached to the MFP. [Network Environment] Muratec MFP can be used in the following network environment: - 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX [Network Protocol] Muratec MFP supports LPR/LPD as network protocol. ********************************************************************** 6.
