Lucky Spinning Co., Ltd.

What kind of product are you developing with the VORTEX spinning machine ?
Mr. Kamol

In 2007, our company acquired 4 VORTEX861 machines.
These produce a range of VORTEX yarns, including
- 100% Cotton
- 100% Rayon
- 100% Tencel
- Blended yarns; Poly/Cotton, Poly/Rayon, Poly/Tencel, Cotton/Rayon, Tencel/Cotton, Tri Blends (Cotton/Rayon/Polyester), Fibre Dyed Rayon/Poly
- Outlast (Thermal Management yarn),
which are sold under the Lopil® brand.

Lopil® is marketed under the slogan of "For Superior Multi-Functional Fabrics." Specifically, "offering unique shape retention and low pilling after repeated washing" is the main sales point, and Lopil® is aggressively marketed as an yarn unrivalled for extended garment life. End uses include high fashion apparel and uniform apparel, work wear, home furnishings, and more.

At present, 100 tons are manufactured per month. It is sold in Thailand and over 40 other countries around the world, where it continues to win praise and is growing rapidly as our main product. We propose to use Lenzing Viscose fiber for our VORTEX production.

How would you evaluate the VORTEX spinning machine?
Mr. Kamol

During the one year or so that our machines have been in operation, we have really noticed the extremely high productivity offered by VORTEX spinning.

Furthermore, we completely agree with President Murata's statement that, "From an environmental standpoint, the Vortex is now recognized as a Green Product with tremendous potential as an alternative to ring spinning system."
That's why the Lopil® website specifically mentions that, "With energy consumption 30% less compared to any spinning technology available, Lopil® is a futuristic yarn with an eco-friendly option." It is definitely an efficient, environmentally friendly piece of equipment.

Please tell us about the "Leadership Project"
Mr. Kamol

I've just described the achievements and future prospects for Lopil®, as well as the benefits of VORTEX spinning machines in energy conservation and increased productivity, but in the end I think the main attraction of VORTEX is the possibilities it offers. It is flexible enough to employ a wide range of materials, to handle a wide range of applications. As a key technology in the development of unique products, we anticipate that VORTEX will open up new avenues for our company to explore.

That is precisely why we intend to become Thailand's leading spinning company not only in terms of scale, but also in terms of originality. We have staked a lot on VORTEX helping us to export attractive products from Thailand to the rest of the world. We are confident that Lucky spinning's Lopil® VORTEX yarn will emerge as workwear yarn of the future. We see this as a large-scale investment that matches the production capacity of existing facilities.
That's the "Leadership Project."

Do you have any requests for MURATEC ?
Mr. Kamol

VORTEX offers limitless possibilities, and in order to use it to its fullest potential, we hope that Murata Machinery will be able to provide us with more technical and marketing advice than ever. We are encouraged by the presence of Murata Thailand, since they provide a team of high experienced service staff, stationed right here in Thailand. We hope we can enhance communication with your two companies and quickly receive support whenever it is needed.
We are also planning to establish R&D center for Vortex yarns at Singburi/Thailand.
